If you know me at all, you know I love food. If you know Keith at all, you know he loves food. Therefore, some of our most memorable moments involve, yep, you guessed it...FOOD!!! We frequently watch the Food Network and have become enormously huge fans of a show called
Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives hosted by Guy Fieri. Those of you familiar with the show are, I'm sure, already salivating. Those of you who have yet to discover this 30 minute morsel of t.v. are truly missing out! After a year of watching, Keith and I decided to become less passive (watching the show) and more aggressive (finding and eating at the featured joints) when it came to experiencing what we now fondly call
Triple D!

Last weekend, while in New Hampshire, we got online to see if there happened to be any places near that had been featured on the show. We were in luck. With no hesitation, we found ourselves at
The Red Arrow Diner in Manchester, NH. It has 5 booths and a long bar top with stools. That's it. Before entering, there is a sign on the door listing a sample of famous people who have been there. When we saw that, we knew we were in for an experience. I'm gonna let you live vicariously through us as you scroll through the pics. The plate of food you'll see was my order...The famous Pork Pie with gravy, eggs, potatoes, and buttered toast. I obviously had no difficulty polishing it off. At one point, our waitress (the only waitress for the entire place) shouted, "Hey everybody, listen up!", at which the whole diner got quite. "I need everybody to know that we have a table full of
Red Arrow Virgins over here in the corner! Let's give it up!!" And everyone applauded. Keith's cousin, John F., replied in a nice audible voice, "Well alright! I haven't been called a virgin in like 10 years!" (i'm so glad Isaac is too young to remember any of this!) We were all given big red stickers that said "de-virginized at the Red Arrow." Isaac got one stuck on his back.

You must know that we were absolutely beside ourselves when we found out they make homemade twinkies (which they call
Dinah Fingers) and whoopie pies. HELLO!!!! We got one of each to go, signed the visitor book, and rolled out happy and plumply full. Later that afternoon, Keith and I shared the twinkie...BLISS. Then, when it was time to try the whoopie pie, my heart began to race and flutter as I peeled back the plastic wrap. It took three different tries to finish that whoopie pie over the course of 2 days. I could barely open my mouth wide enough to take a bite, which would cause the sweet creamy center to ooze out all over. Sigh...heaven.

Don't be coveting. That's not biblical! Tonight...we are headed to the
Super Duper Weenie! Yep, you got it. It's another Triple D joint! Stay tuned...
