I'm always focused on publishing "firsts" for Isaac, but it was my turn today. I had to leave work early to pick up my poor, sick, runny nose, runny poop, coughing, fever stricken lovie from daycare. He's been a little under the weather and irritable, which was making us think perhaps he was starting to teeth. Now, I'm thinking it must be some kind of virus. So, he's upstairs fast asleep and I have the afternoon "off". I figured I could finally compose another post. I'll take this opportunity to update you on his latest ventures, likes, dislikes, and adorableness.

Isaac is still not officially crawling, but is very mobile. I can put him on the floor, pop in to the kitchen to grab something, and by time I return, he is across the rug grabbing for something he should not be grabbing for. (ie. remotes, computer cables, important papers, etc.) Nonetheless, we have set aside this Saturday morning to "baby proof" the house. He is already into the kitchen cabinets and loves opening and closing the pantry door where he eventually digs for buried treasure, er, tupperware. He is a very good eater, loving cauliflower and blueberries in yogurt. I try to make most of his food, but I'm slightly grossed out at the thought of pureeing meat. So, we've been doing jarred chicken dinners and the like. He really enjoys rolling a ball back and forth, squealing every time he pushes it back to you. He is ga-ga-ga-ing and starting to incorporate perceivable intonation into his sounds and babbles.

Recently, we had to attend to a mild case of cradle cap. We sat outside, drizzled baby oil over his head, let it soak through his hair, and then began to gently massage with a newborn hairbrush. He looked like total Grease Lightning! Such a good boy though, never squirming or complaining. After dinner, we bathed him and ran a come through the hair. Disgusting!! You should have seen the scales that collected on the comb. Eeeww! I shampooed twice, and he was still oily for a few day. But, we have seen no more signs of cradle cap since then. This method works quite well. FYI.
As far as adorableness, I got one word for ya...
PAJAMAS! Please tell me you think little boy pajamas are just the cutest! It's so hard putting him down at night because he is irresistibly snugly and hug-able. Here are the latest ones that just kill me every time.

Here are a few other recent pics to show his "growing up".

Love the pjs. Kids in pjs kill me every time.
I was told the baby oil thing DIDN'T work... but now I have your example and I think we're gonna have to try it. Ry gets it whenever we switch shampoos... something about the ingredients and I always forget which ingredient we DON'T want.
Feel better, Baby Poo!
OK... we cant stand it! He looks like he's "grown up" since we were there 3 wks ago. I'll start checking airline tickets this weekend!! maybe early Nov??? Love Mia
I second that oil works for cradle cap. Since my kiddos had pretty sensitive skin, I used olive oil, and that did the trick every time! I have learned that anything that remotely smells good will wreak havoc on their skin.
PJ's are the ultimate heart breaker for sure!! This does not fade as they grow up. G melts my heart everytime he runs through the house in his Spider Man PJs, and I'll never forget seeing A for the 1st time in a nightgown (you remember this too).
Isaac is such a cutie! I really want to give him some lovin' right now! Wish we could see yall soon!
