The AAPA (American Association of Physician Assistants) annual conference was in San Diego this year. Keith was elected to serve in the House of Delegates by his classmates which meant he
had to attend. Bummer. Five days in beautiful San Diego. I decided to come along with Isaac, not a difficult decision at all. When I discovered our connecting flight was in DFW, I talked Mom into booking on our flight so we could play while Keith was occupied. I really had to twist her arm. (During the layover, we realized it was Isaac's first time in Texas. So, we found a gift shop and took some pics. My little cowboy!) We walked, shopped, relaxed, ate, and slept. It was pretty tough. The hotel was gorgeous and right on the Harbor, close to everything. Isaac was such a trooper. He never cried or complained. Sometimes, Mom and I had him out all day and he didn't even make a peep. We really are blessed to have such a content and easy-going baby...I'm pretty sure he gets it from Keith.

Keith and I were able to attend some receptions and dinners while Isaac had fun date nights with Grandma. The first night we left to go out, we were walking down the hall toward the elevators, holding hands, and both agreed that it felt very strange to be "kid free". Strange in a good way of course. During the day, Keith would call when he had breaks and come find us if we were near, hence the pic of he and Isaac by the pool with Keith in tie and Isaac in full pool-side regalia. Speaking of pool-side...Isaac took the opportunity to take a siesta after his photo shoot on the lounger.

The last night, we all attended the Medical Academic Challenge Bowl. Teams from PA Grad Programs across the country compete. You would have thought we were going to a Lakers game or something. The Quinnipiac group painted faces and chests and stuck pom-poms in their hair. We all wore t-shirts alike and even Isaac sported his QU onesie. He was a big hit.

On our way home, Dad, Lauren, Drew, Grand, and Amelia came to meet us at the airport to hang out for a while during our layover. That was a special treat. Isaac got lots of extra love and so did we. Lauren even brought us a Freebird Burrito to eat on the plane. If you have ever eaten a Freebird, you know what a wonderful gift that was.
Wonderful.

Lots of love to you and yours! We miss you!

We are so glad that we were able to see yall, even if it was for an hour! I love Isaac's little spit bubble!
SUPER fun that they all got to meet up with you at the airport! That's so great. I got your message... and cried. I'm glad y'all had a good time in San Diego. Rylie says to tell Isaac that she has the same cowboy hat!
