In preparation for Isaac's DOC band (helmet) graduation this Wednesday, we took him to get his first official haircut. They buckled him in to the chair, raised it, and draped him up with the "Super G" gown (what do you think the "G" stands for anyway??) I had contemplated trimming his hair at home, but we thought the first experience should be official...and, um, I chickened out. I'm used to cutting Keith's hair which is, shall we say...not complicated at all. (love you hon!) And besides, Keith sits still and only moves when I tell him to. I wasn't sure how I would do with a moving target and with scissors instead of sheers. So, we went to Tantrum. He sat fairly still and did not shed a tear. He did look slightly concerned at times, but perked up when he saw the hairdryer. Something familiar! We dry his hair every night at home. After bath time, the helmet has to go on shortly thereafter and his hair must be completely dry. Isaac usually sits in the sink while we dry his hair, so the big chair was quite an upgrade. Perhaps next time around I'll give it a try, if he'll let me. Too bad I don't have a Super G cape at home.
