Yesterday morning, Isaac and I were doing our yoga/pilates workout DVD. I was laying on my stomach facing him, and he was on his tummy facing me. He started to lean, so I readjusted his arms to help him be more stable. He began to lean again, and before I could help him again, he rolled over onto his back! What? I didn't realize that's what he was trying to do. I called Keith and put Isaac back on his tummy. Part of me was thinking it was a one time fluke and that Keith would not get to see. Yet, Isaac did not disappoint. Before long, he was on his back again. We were both laughing. Keith grabbed the video camara and Isaac rolled 2 more times on camara. I can't believe it. We were so proud. Beaming as if he had just completed the most difficult vault in Olympic history. After his performance, we rewarded him with some baby massage and he fell fast asleep.
Something else I've been meaning to post for a while...is a picture of a gift we received from one of Keith's classmates, Julie. She painted letters of Isaac's name to hang in his room. Cleverly, she looked up his bedding online and chose colors that match perfectly. She even tied the ribbons on so all we had to do was hang them on the wall. The first time we put him in his crib, he noticed them instantly. He stares at them all the time. Anything with stripes really holds his attention. Way to go Julie!! Isaac loves them, and so do we!
So, Grandma Pat is coming to visit us again this week. Then, in 2 weeks, Aunt Lolo (my sister, Lauren) and Wendy (my cousin) are coming to play with Isaac as well. We are hoping that Mia and Auntie Ains will come again sometime in May when Keith has a nice break from classes. Honestly, what a blessing that even though we live so far from family, they still make the effort to come visit. Sending everyone hugs and slimey kisses (those are from Isaac!).
