Isaac is 6 months old today. I am amazed and so thankful that he is such a happy, healthy, strong, perfect little man. Such joy he brings to our hearts. It won't be long now until he has lived just as long in this world as he did in my tummy. Crazy. He has been sitting up on his own for a few weeks now. He loves playing with his blocks. He's definitely trying to talk more, stringing sounds together with more variety. He's chowin' on cereal and gets very frustrated if he sees you using a spoon to feed yourself without using it to feed him. We celebrated tonight with some very special apple rice cereal. Happy Birthday sweetie! We love you!

This past week, Keith's best friend, Luke, and wife Audrey came to visit. We all took the train to NYC on Saturday for a day trip. The main goal was to attend the 4th annual Big Apple BBQ in the Park. I learned about this event through reading my Rachel Ray magazine. Madison Square Park was host to about 20 pit masters from all over the country serving up brisket, sausage, pulled pork, slaw, beans, etc. One of our favorite places in Texas, The Salt Lick, was there serving Texas style brisket. Melt in your mouth delicious! There was live music, along with free drinks and ice cream. Isaac and I even got our picture taken with the Oxy Clean Guy. We just might be making this a summer tradition. Anyone wanna join us next year? Here are some pics of our trip. Good times all around.

I can't believe he's 6 months old. Whatever. And I can't believe the Salt Lick was in NYC. AND, I can believe you met the Oxy-clean guy! (at first, I thought that was Kieth's bff... and I was like, "Dude... he's old!).
Love you.
Hope your 'shopping' went well!
Not that Isaac isn't adorable and doesn't catch my attention first, BUT i am very curious and intrigued by the illy cans lirking in the stroller. Could that be iced coffee by illy??...I might have a new definition of heaven!
WOW!!! 6 months! Awesome! And I like that you finally got a T A&M shirt for the little man... now to send up some more LSU to outweigh it...hmmm.....!!! I think that BBQ event sounded great! I read about it in Rachel Ray too! And NYC in the summer is a great tradition!
