1 month with isaac

It is hard to believe that Isaac is 1 month old today. We are so thankful that he continues to be a healthy and strong baby boy. He is starting to be more expressive, which is a blast! He is our greatest form of entertainment. Ahhh, his smiles! Will we ever get used to them? Keith's break from school ends tomorrow and he is really bummed about having to go back. How blessed we were to have him for 4 whole weeks! Tuesday will be Mommy and Isaac's first day to fly solo. We are REALLY going to miss Daddy. Grandma Pat is coming in on Wednesday to take over because I am still slightly recovering. (the do-nut pillow continues to be my closest friend. we go everywhere together.)

One thing we have discovered about Isaac is that he does not prefer silence. In addition to the vacuum, hair dryer, running water, and the washing machine...he loves music. This could be due to the fact that we had music playing 24/7 in the hospital room during labor and after. We've pretty much tried all genres (Nora Jones, Counting Crows, Bon Jovi, Allison Krauss, Tchaikovsky, Jim Brickman, etc), mainly because Keith and I could only stand so many lullabies after a while. Of all the albums, we have dubbed a winner for it's calming, soothing affect. Whenever Isaac gets fussy, our trick is to put him in the sling, dance, and play the "Save the Last Dance" soundtrack. Works like a charm. He's usually asleep before the first song is over. Hilarious. I'll have to switch albums someday once he is able to understand the lyrics or we will suffer the consequences.

When he was born with so much hair, I was really surprised and figured it would all fall out soon enough. Well, we would like you to know that he has not lost any of it as of yet. Actually, it seems to have a mind of it's own. Check out this picture of his "do" after his last bath. Yes! I'm seeing all kinds of future potential!!! (which i think makes Keith a little nervous.)

Here's a little video clip of our sweetie. We'll catch you up soon! Hasta pronto!

Okay, I can't believe how PRECIOUS he is! I want to kiss his cheeks a million times each! I vividly remember the first smiles of both kiddos and my heart still melts each time I see one. It never stops, that's one perk of parenthood. I am going to dig up a baby pic of Amelia, I am reminded so much of her in the sleeping sling shot...the cheeks, the lips.. Miss you guys so much! Good Luck tomorrow Uncle Beef!
