4th of July...on June 27th

We are in a different time zone now, but I did not know it affected holidays as well. For, just a few days ago, on June 27th, we met up with our new friends to watch our town's 4th of July firework display...complete with Bruce Springstein, Lee Greenwood, and carny food. In this part of the country, they assign each town a day to celebrate the 4th. So, I suppose, if you were a fireworks fanatic, this would be a dream come true . You could town hop for days and watch glorious, patriotic firework displays. As for me...I am no fanatic...but admit I am rather tickled about getting to celebrate the 4th more than once this year. Keith is pictured with our new friends...to his left, Brad and Jane from Utah...to his right, Terrance and Kestlee from Utah. It's a Utah sandwich! (did i just type that?) The guys are in the P.A. program with Keith. The wives have already bonded over the fact that we are practically widows now. :) We are thankful for such fun friends.
