road trip in my new ride

hey everybody, this is Isaac.

i wanted mommy to show you my new ride. you see, i had to get a new car seat cuz i'm all big and stuff now. i don't need that baby one anymore. nope, not me! i have my own big boy chair that lets me sit up straight and tall and look out the back window of daddy's truck.



all the trees are orange and red now. i know that because last weekend we drove to Boston to visit friends. i didn't know them until i got there. mommy did though. she and Elizabeth became friends while they studied abroad in France together. then, mommy saw Elizabeth marry Sean in Ireland. then, Elizabeth and Sean had a baby. his name is Ian. it starts with an "i" like my name. awesome. he is only 12 days younger than me, so we could hang sans problemas. he shared his toys with me and pulled my hair. you know, rough and tough guy stuff. we went to the Boston Commons park and ate in a pub. Ian shared his cheerios with me. he's a cool friend. i think mommy and daddy had fun with Elizabeth and Sean. i'm pretty sure i could smell a pasta dinner and heard a wine cork pop after they put me to bed. sunday morning, the mommies and babies walked to get coffee and donuts while the daddies slept in. mommy didn't let me taste her donut, but she told me they will be my special saturday morning treats someday. just like when she was little.







i told mommy i want to play with Ian again. maybe he can come to my house next time and i'll let him play with my fun music table and we'll have pancakes.
