My pregnant belly and I flew home to Texas the first weekend of October for our baby shower. I am very thankful I will not be boarding another plane until Cheetoe is outside of my body! (although...i'm sure flying with him will bring lots of new challenges.) Let's just say I was glad to get off the plane and use a toilet stall that did not make me feel like I was squatting in an upright matchbox.
It was a blessing to see family and friends and receive such generous gifts for our baby boy. Here are a few pics for your enjoyment. Not sure if you will be able to see, but the green fold-out I am holding has pictures of his bedding. My Aunt Carolyn was so proud of herself for making a visual. She and my cousin Wendy bought us all the bedding, but had it shipped to CT. With the visual aid, everyone at the shower was able to see what it looked like. Thanks again Carolyn! Oh, and that cake...my sister made it! Yep. She's a professional in my eyes. I'm conviced we need to go into business together and open a coffee/tea/bakery shop...I think we could manage without killing each other.
And, for your final viewing pleasure, a few moments with my precious niece and nephew. Amelia and Grant really enjoyed my belly. They got to feel the baby move, give him kisses, hugs, and zerberts. Amelia would periodically lift up her shirt or dress, stick out her belly, and then proudly proclaim..."My baby!" You can see her little tummy diplayed next to Mount Desonier. The final video is of Grant giving Cheetoe a zerbert. I love his reaction after he hears how loud it was. Kids...they are so candid and wonderful!
